Lark pool (15 pegs) is a beautiful pool at the top of the site with amazing views, it has a record of 219lb 2oz set by Luke Capewell on 9/6/18 from old peg 10 (new peg 8). There is a stone path around the pool and the large wooden platforms are very comfortable. It contains lots of f1s ranging from 1lb to 5lb generally, with the largest being 7lb 10oz! There are also lots of small tench crucian’s and ide, carp from 6oz to 6lb, plus the old stock going to 14lb although not that numerous they can show up at any time and are stunning fish.
Best baits are pellets paste corn maggots or casters in the summer, soft pellet corn bread and maggots in the winter.
Most pegs are around 12-14 meters wide lending themselves to to pole fishing, although pleasure anglers catch on all methods.
Lark pool is £105 for a club booking.
